About UsNever Leave a Good Time in Search of a Good Time!
Never Leave a Good Time in Search of a Good Time! Those are the words we live by at The Olde Spitfire Grille. Great drinks, terrific casual dining and live, local entertainment will keep you coming back time and time again. It’s the perfect destination for friends, co-workers and families.
The Spitfire menu offers classic American fare with a smoked and barbecue contemporary twist. We feature locally sourced organic produce and meats, along with our exclusive “Mitchell’s Mambo Sauce,” created by John Mitchell, a close friend and great chef from Indiana, PA. Our fare is rounded out by homemade specialty desserts of the day.
The full – service bar and lounge offer irresistible, affordable wines by the bottle and by the glass, including selections from local vineyards, as well as local craft beers. “The Rail” between the dining room and the bar is a special gathering place for groups of up to 16 to meet for drinks, dinner and conversation.
During warmer months, be sure to check out our outdoor patio. Beautifully landscaped, it’s home to our Executive Chef’s two herb gardens and also where live music is performed during the summer. An added bonus – the patio faces west so evenings are often capped off by a beautiful sunset over the Laurel Highlands.
Owners, J. Kirk Kim and Gil S. Shaffer, who grew up together in Youngwood, reopened the restaurant in April 2013 after Kirk received countless requests to bring “The Spitfire” back. Kirk’s focus – great food, drinks and service at a great value quite simply mean a great time every time, reinforcing The Olde Spitfire Grille’s slogan….“Never leave a good time in search of a good time.”
For Gil, who is a closet “Executive Chef,” it’s all about his passion for food.
Completely redecorated, the interior space now offers a cozy dining room with stone accent walls and features box-framed, black and white photographs of historic “Did You Know” places and events throughout Greensburg’s history.
Check out The Plaza located on the upper deck, added in 2015.
